I this tutorial we will be creating some beveled stone text and inlaying it into some sand. To start off we need a good background, I picked up this nice sand texture. You can find your own image or use the one below.

Use the text tool to write your title. Choose a large font and center it in your canvas.

We are now going to use layer styles to adjust the look of our font. While on your text layer, choose Layer > Layer Style > Bevel and Emboss. I used the settings below.

Next we are going to overlay a pattern to give our text a stone-like texture. Choose Layer > Laye Style > Pattern Overlay. Refer to the values below.

Finally we are going to give our text a small outline. Choose Layer > Layer Style > Stroke.

That's it! Your text should look similar to mine.
