Metalic Photoshop Tutorial
First
of all open up Photoshop.
Depending on what you want to make, Goto File >>
New and then choose what ever size you want.
For this tutorial I used the normal web banner size
468 X 60.
Ok change
the foreground and background colours to any colours
of your choice.
I used Black and White by pressing the letter "D"
for default colours.
Then grab
the gradient tool. And use the following settings:
Mode: Difference
Opacity: 100%
I used
the reflected gradient but you can use any of the
five gradients.
Then all
you need to do is go wild with it splashing it on
in every direction hold mouse down from side to side
top to bottom.
When I said go wild I mean go wild, I normally spend
around 10 seconds on this part until I like the final
look.
This is how mine turned out in this tutorial.
Then goto Filter >> Stylize >> Find edges
This is basically it really.
You can then add whatever color you want to it by
using the contrast settings found in Image >>
Adjustments >> Hue/Saturation
I personally don't like doing this. So what I do is
create a new layer. Layer >> New >> Layer
(SHIFT+CTRL+N)
Then I simply grab the paint bucket tool And choose
my foreground color In this case I used #4B6658.
Make sure the layer is above layer 1 And click on
the work area,
This then should apply the color to the layer.
I then just simply change the layer blending mode
to "Color" And you should end up with something
like this.

Hope this tutorial helped you out And I hope you have
learned something new
