Texturize Text in Fireworks Tutorial

Adding texture to your text can make your image look much more together. Start off by using the text tool to write your title.

Click on the paint bucket tool by clicking on the image on your toolbar, or pressing G.

Click on the dropdown menu next to the color box, and choose Patter.

Look through the list and choose a pattern that suits your background.

Next we are going to give our text some height. You can use the eyecandy bevel feature or the basic bevel/emboss filter. I used the eyecandy filter by choosing Filters > Eye Candy > Bevel Boss

Next I added an outer glow of white, and placed it on top of my background image.
