3d Spikes in Photoshop Tutorial
In this tutorial I will show you how to make some
cool 3d abstract spikes in Photoshop, with no 3d program!
In the end , they should look like the picture below:
OK, first step is the make a 400x400 picture. And
render a lens flare. So make the new file, and go
to filter>render>lens flare

Now press ctrl+A or, manually select your whole image,
and press ctrl+C or, edit>copy
Now make a new 800x800 picture, and past your lens
flare.
Now go to filter: Artistic>Fresco
Now your image should look like the one below
Now merge both of your layers, so that you only have
1 layer left on your 800x800 picture.
Now go to filter>stylize>extrude and use the
settings below

Now your image should look like this:

Now run the filter again, using the same settings.
Now you should have an image like this:

Now, select your whole image, and copy it.
Now make a new 400x400 picture, and past your image
into it.
Now move the picture around, until it sits in the
corner, like the image below

Now I think it looks cool with these colors, and
the point of doing the original lens flare, was to
get these cool colors. So you can either use, or leave
the next step out.
For those of you who don't like the color that it
is, we are going to change it to blue. So, now make
a new layer, and change the layer mode to "color"
and fill your layer with a nice dark blue color. Your
image should now look like this:

Now re-paste your image above your original layer,
but below your "color" layer.
Now lower the opacity, and place it in the lower
right corner. Your image should now look like this:

Now all that is left to do is add your typography
text, and some lines, as you see fit.

And some gradients, and thick lines
In the end mine looked like this:
